Elin really enjoy the challenge of creating bespoke glass pieces and welcome the opportunity to create something truly special and unique for private individuals and businesses alike.

As a collaboration between artist and client, a successful commission should reflect your preferences and personality, but also our own style and observations. Elin will work with you from first idea, through development, to production and installation.

Previous clients include Abrdn,, National Museum of Scotland, and Edinburgh University. Please have a look in our portfolio of previous commissions which include bespoke garden features, awards and luxury chandeliers.

The Commission process Commissioning a piece is a way to acquire a bespoke piece of glass especially made for you, so initially let Elin know what kind of work you like from her existing portfolio and what colours you prefer.

Depending on the size of the project commissions can take anything from 4-12 months from initial enquiry to finished work has been carried out. Elin will advise you on the production time and cost of your proposed piece, and if you require a few different options before deciding, we can do this for you.

Once a commission is confirmed Elin will make some sketches and a colour study to check that both parties are happy with the design. Once the final design have been agreed on, Elin will begin work.

A 50% deposit is required before any work can start, to account for raw material, glass colours, gas and electricity costs. Collectors are welcome to visit the studio, or you can receive images during the commission process. The final payment is required before the glass can be collected or shipped.

For any work over the amount of £250, we can now offer a 10-month interest free payment plan with a new pilot scheme called Made Possible which is lottery funded and supported by Creative Scotland.
